California Water Service, Yuba-Sutter Freebirds Celebrate 100 Years of Trust on Tap

MARYSVILLE, Calif.—California Water Service (Cal Water) celebrated its 100th-anniversary with customers and their families on Sunday, Sept. 6, as part of a free customer appreciation celebration at Bryant Field, home to the Yuba-Sutter Freebirds.

The event took place during the Freebirds’ final game of the season and offered complimentary admission for Cal Water customers, along with family-friendly fun throughout the evening. Each ticket included a complimentary hot dog and soft drink, and special Cal Water moments were featured during the game.

Founded in 1926 by three World War I veterans, Cal Water has grown from serving four California communities to serving more than 20 districts throughout the state. As the company celebrates its centennial, it is thanking customers for their continued support and recognizing the partnerships that help strengthen the communities it serves.

“We are proud to celebrate our customers and our century of service by partnering with the Yuba-Sutter Freebirds for this special community event,” said Tavis Beynon, Cal Water’s Marysville District Manager. “This evening was an opportunity for us to thank customers for their trust and support while sharing information about programs and resources available to help them make the most of their water service.”

Customers visited the Cal Water booth inside the stadium to learn more about water conservation programs, customer assistance resources, and other services available to them. Guests also enjoyed giveaways and entered a drawing for a brand-new, water-efficient washing machine.

Cal Water serves customers throughout California and remains committed to providing safe, clean, reliable water service while investing responsibly in infrastructure, sustainability initiatives, and community partnerships.
